We’re building a community rooted in adventure, convenience and security.

About Us

JustShareIt™ is the secure person–to–person vehicle sharing marketplace that provides the insurance, technology and platform to help people safely rent their underutilized vehicles and vessels such as cars, boats and more among a trusted community of members.

The average car is idle for 22 hours each day, yet the average cost of ownership and maintenance totals $8,500 per year. By matching people looking to rent vehicles ("Borrowers") with people who have them to share, JustShareIt™ increases access to vehicles and adventures while generating income for owners ("Sharers").

We’ve made it convenient

We’ve simplified how people share vehicles by providing:

  • comprehensive screening
  • $1 million insurance policy
  • innovative monitoring technology
  • 24/7 Customer Service and Roadside Assistance
  • mobile app so you can share and borrow on the move
  • secure online marketplace where members can safely share vehicles

We’ve made it secure

RideLink™ is our signature in-vehicle technology that provides added security and cool features, like locking and unlocking your car with your smartphone. If you're a fan of Knight Rider, consider RideLink your KITT.

We’ve made it fun

To us, vehicle sharing isn't just about the convenience of getting from point A to point B, it's about the thrill of the ride. That's why our members share more than just cars — like boats, motorcycles, RVs, snowmobiles and more. We encourage different experiences because every vehicle shared is a new connection. Not to mention, vehicle sharing is good for your community.

So the next time you pass a car, truck, motorcycle, ATV, boat or snowmobile that piques your interest, don't just daydream. Join us and make our member fleet your showroom.

With JustShareIt™ your next adventure is just a neighbor away.

Vision

Revolutionize the transportation industry with a technology that changes how people engage with vehicles.

Mission

To create widespread access to high-end goods, enable trusting relationships and build community through sharing.

Founder’s Story

A longtime fan of sharing, Gaurav Kohli conceived JustShareIt while trying to solve a personal problem. He was on his way to a wedding in India in August 2010 when he thought, "Why don’t I stay in India for a while and just rent my house and car in California while I’m gone?"

At the time, he was unable to find services that could actually help him share his property for an indefinite amount of time. His background in the automobile industry and his passion for technology and security inspired him to explore car sharing as a business model. While engrossed in his research, he recalled an expensive boat rental experience at California’s Lake Berryessa and thought, "Why stop at cars?"

Gaurav’s journey unfolded as other person–to–person (p2p) platforms began to emerge, demonstrating that this new shared way of life is more than just one person’s vision. He and his team have worked tirelessly to expand insured and secure sharing to include unique rides so that you and the rest of the JustShareIt community can effortlessly unlock your next adventures.

Of course, JustShareIt™ wouldn’t exist without YOU so thanks for sharing!

Impact

Your car sits idle an average of 22 hours per day. Yet according to AAA, average car costs can total $8,500 per year, including loan/lease payments, maintenance, parking and insurance. Through sharing, you can turn an underused, expensive possession into an asset for your community!

Environmental Impact

When you share a vehicle, you’re benefiting the environment.

Did you know...

  • 1 shared vehicle removes approximately 15 personally owned vehicles from the road. (There are 1 billion cars on the road worldwide and 1 car for every 1.3 people in the US.)
  • Car sharing members drive 8,000 miles per year while car owners drive 12,000 miles per year.
  • 20% of car sharing members either sell their car or delay buying another car.
  • Manufacturing a new car takes a lot of resources so abstaining from buying one can save from 6–35+ tons of CO2 emissions!
  • Car sharing increases by 20–30% per year—thanks to people just like you!

Community Impact

When you share a vehicle, you’re improving your community.

Sharing leads to...

  • More money reinvested in your local economy since neighbors are exchanging cash.
  • Decreased pollution–induced illnesses and improved community health.
  • Reduced traffic, congestion and parking stress in urban areas.
  • Increased trust among community members.
  • Limitless new relationships!

Thanks for your interest in sharing the word about JustShareIt!

Just the Facts

JustShareIt provides the insurance, technology and platform to help people securely rent their underutilized vehicles and vessels such as cars, boats and more among a trusted community of members. Sharers generate income from renting while Borrowers gain access to fun and convenient rides. By connecting neighbors with matching needs, JustShareIt provides a sustainable solution to reduce pollution, traffic and the high cost of ownership.
